Description
It's hard to pin an age on chest.'s music - constantly in motion, where spontaneous energy collides with timeless electricity. The name is no accident: its five members first bonded in the darkness of Supersonic, one of Paris' beating hearts of independent music, over a shared love of loud rock'n'roll and sonic experimentation. That friendship shaped a sound that's hybrid by nature - abrasive noise rock, unifying melodies and hard-hitting electronic energy - all filtered through a healthy dose of self-deprecation.
Tipped by NME as one of the "100 artists to watch in 2025" before even releasing a record, chest. confirmed the hype with their debut EP All Good Things End (Howlin Banana, February 2025), then went on to open for DITZ, Jehnny Beth, Heavy Lungs and KNIVES, and tore through La Maroquinerie, Rock en Seine and Eurosonic Noorderslag. In autumn 2025, the band self-produced their debut album at Studio La Frette (Nick Cave, Arctic Monkeys), absorbing industrial, techno and shoegaze influences - with Otto, Cor and Entertainment as standout tracks. chest. is emerging as the spearhead of a French rock scene that's no longer afraid of anything.
